i just finished watching buffy. it was disheartening to see buffy reject spike like that. it’s terrible when i’m watching a show and a guy/girl truly adores another person and then that person just casually rejects them, refusing to see the other’s pain. i start to become annoyed with them and their callousness. this happens in real life, too (as we all know). but i guess you can never force love out of anyone who is so reluctant to feel it or at least acknowledge it.
