the good ol’ days

a nostalgic fever passed over me today. i reminisced about past shows that i was completely hung over, such as growing pains which had to be my most preferred of early 90s series. i remember so many actors who passed through that show, like leonardo dicaprio and even matthew perry from friends. tracy gold’s battle with anorexia in real life plucked a sad string in my heart.

and even further back in time was the celebrated 80s show charles in charge,&nbsp of which i can actually remember the theme song. (don’t make me sing it. lol.) scott baio (after happy days) made the show so refreshing to watch. few actors from that show made it anywhere else after charles’ last season, such as nicole egert who moved on to her short-lived career on baywatch.

television shows like these accent the great morals that society wished to uphold. and now where are we? stuck in an endless cycle of television tears and cartoon wedgies. minus the [almighty] simpsons, there haven’t been many television shows around in the late 90s and early 2000 that have made me an avid watcher.
