ouch

my eyes are sore from art class. how, you ask, could art make your eyes sore? well, simply put, it’s this damn clay that we’re using to make our “guarded vessels.” even though i wash my hands thoroughly, i still manage to get some of the dust on my clothes and whatnot. i unknowingly breathed the awful clay dust into my lungs and i started to cough madly after school. and then i mindlessly rubbed my eyes with the invisible clay dust on them. now my eyes are sore. therefore, art begets soreness.

i know i’m never going to become an awe-inspiring artist. in fact, up until last year, i had never taken a single art course. but lately i’ve found myself taking pride in my own artwork. this “guarded vessel” project has made me concentrate more on details and intricacy, things that i would just overlook when drawing or sculpting. my passion for art has hightened; however, i still am no art expert. (i’m still getting a dispicable B in that course.) but art and i… well, we’re starting to find a mutal understanding with each other.
