ice cube has been blasting on the stereo in robbo’s car for the weekend up until now. tonight we attempted to get into the saint george’s (a reputable vancouver private school) grad after-party which was located at a ubc frat house — entrance cost was $10 per body. we tried the usual sneaking in with some hook-ups instead of actually paying the set amount, but failed miserably. ah well, at least we didn’t get tanked at some frat house with 20-something, stocky, caucasian dudes looming over us in the morning, wondering who puked in their room.
it’s interesting how private schools work. here in vancouver, at least, every all-male private school is paired up with a “sister” all-girl private school. with this pair-up, the two schools get a chance to interact with people of the opposite sex (finally) as they attend many dances and soirées together. that way, people from one prestigious school will most likely start courtships with the opposite sex from the other presitigious school. marriage could possibly bloom from these relationships of rich meeting rich. this greatly aids the said schools and the students’ parents are allowed to keep their money among other filthy rich people who are just like them. money will not be “wasted” on the middle-class or (god forbid) the poverty-stricken.
private schools are indeed the work of a very class-concerned devil.
