less hours in a day

time is catching up with me and it’s biting my ass as we speak.

my uncle wants me to start work on this website for his dental practice. being the effervescent go-getter i was at the beginning of the summer, i accepted his offer. now that work seems to be cutting into my hours along with my yearning to make something actually fun out of my summer, i haven’t had the time to start on it. this makes me feel unprofessional. i know i can do it. i know i can. just call me that little engine… you know, that “could.”

and would.

i would be sleeping right now if it wasn’t for this stale air hanging about the room, plus the blasted mosquitoes that just do not know when to quit. i squished one with an old receipt lying around my computer desk. their buzzing sounds remind me of the philippines where my family would usually retreat every summer, excluding the last three. even though the slight humidity of the vancouver area is already getting to me, i somewhat miss the hot climate of the philippines back at my grandparents’ house where i could lounge around lazily and need not worry about work, stock, websites, or time. just the mosquitoes. and they don’t let you forget for one second.
