i hate snow, as anyone close to me will tell you. i hate it with a vehement passion. i hate it so much that when it does snow here, i don’t care enough to go outside and bask in all of its driven-snowy glory. i won’t even go to the window and marvel, “my gosh, it looks like the a giant snowman swallowed the town.”

i refuse to ski or snowboard or even snowshoe. my friends will undoubtedly urge to me to go along on various trips to whistler but i still persist that snow is indeed the devil — what with its icy claws and dry winds and its unseen persuasion for humans to wear clammy parkas and dirty unwashed mittens. give me a cup of tea and a good book, i tell you, and snow will be long forgotten.

i’m an autumn girl… the colours, the crunchy leaves, and the mild temperatures. it’s a shame to have to wait eight more months for my most favoured season. spring would have been exceptional if not for those almost neon green inch-worms that swing off tree branches and attack you when you least expect it. what purpose do these horrible creatures serve besides being amazingly disgusting and useless? i hope evolution has its way with them soon.

but here i am now in winter, with its icy snow and freezing conditions. just a few more months, and i’ll be scott-free.
