the golden rule

i apologize in advance for all of the profanity. this post hits too close to home for me, on so many levels.

why are people, who have repeatedly shafted you and wiped their feet on your good intentions, allowed to live nice and happy lives? why do they get to trample all over you and still receive god’s great generosity?

people have always asked me why i’m so cynical about life, and i think it’s mainly that evil, horrible, backstabbing, worthless people are allowed to kick you while you’re down and still continue living their stupidly happy lives without so much as a slap on the wrist by any intervening divinity. i used to believe in karma, that whatever bad you have done will ultimately come back to you ten times worse.

i’ve done some not-so-good things in my life, but i don’t think i have ever done anything that merits such completely terrible things to happen to me in return. as a result, i lash out and think that the world isn’t really all it’s cracked up to be. rather, it’s a place where backstabbers are rewarded and their victims get the fucking shaft.

the truth is, sell-outs take the risks and fuck the consequences — to the victor go the spoils. fuck karma and the golden rule. i’m so tired of being a victim.
