seasons in the sun

i went to the annual extravaganza at the pne today with my uncle, aunt, cousins, and younger sister. it’s typically a yearly sort of thing that we nieces do with our relatives, but i had been skipping out the last two years in a row because of work.

surprisingly, it was a fun night and i got to make like a responsible adult — i subconsciously bossed around my younger cousins — for a change. plus, i got to try out the newer rides at playland, including the traditional coaster ride where all the young’uns make for the front of the train so that they can fly out of their seats in a hysteria of screams and shrieks. good times, good times.

at the end of the night, the whole troop congregated on the grass to watch the pyrotechnics/fireworks/strange cage-dancing spectacle at the fair, otherwise known as “fire in the sky”. we were greeted with a dazzling display of lights, booms, and fires spouting from the top of towers, making us feel as though we were in an inferno. but it was a good show. makes me wish i had a quality camera to capture everything i saw.

i’m off to whistler tomorrow afternoon for a couple of days. and then school starts. i haven’t even paid my tuition yet. hectic, last-minute scramble to get my act together commences, eh… now.
