So, I done got a job.
I honestly didn’t think I would get any interviews because of my average marks, but I guess it goes to show… well, something.
I went through the daunting interview process with the rest of the second-year drones and was plumb thunderstruck when the first interview went so well. Evidently, I have people skills! Anyway, even though the first interview should pretty much sum everything up, in Lawyer Town, the firms interview about 40 people for one goddamn position; so, I was forced to endure a second.
That one was a bit trickier. I thought I stumbled a bit on my answers and didn’t showcase myself like the hot poodle I was. I went home feeling like a piece of shit who wasn’t cool enough to hang with the best and stankiest turds in town. So, imagine my surprise when I got an offer! Which I hastily accepted.
The job starts in the summer, which shows you just how ridiculously retarded (and retardedly ridiculous) this entire process is, having to worry about this bullshit right when school begins. I’m happy I have a summer job, but I’m also scared as fuck to start it. I just finished first year at law school and they’re expecting me to to be able to apply my limited knowledge in real cases already. I’m sure I’m going to be disbarred as soon as I get… er, barred?
