Day at the Opera

I went to watch ballet at the famous Palais Garnier opera house in Paris. I’m not a big fan of ballet (their toes be nasty!), but it was a pretty good performance. It was a strange mix of modern dance with traditional ballet. We showed up fifteen minutes before the show started and got leftover seats for 7€. They were basically nose-bleed seats and I had to crane my neck to see the stage, but they weren’t too bad.

I kept thinking, OMG, Phantom of the Opera! when I looked up at the big chandelier in the middle of the theatre. It would have been cool if Gerard Butler had swung down from the rafters or even if a dead body had fallen onto the stage.

Also, I’m no opera/ballet expert, but I’m pretty sure there was a gang bang scene during of all that jumping and kicking. But I could be wrong.
